Drop Commander Web utilities

Post by rocanegra » Sat Jun 15, 2019 6:31 pm

Hi there!
I'm very happy about the new online army builder for DZC, I'd like to know if there will be another one for DFC, and other tools for the game.

I can offer some dev help with them, I've built a couple of online tools for our local community, and I'll be very happy to publish some I've been tinkering with, if I get the permission to do so.

You can take a look at the outdated version I showed to TTC during Salute 2018, that had a v2 profiles search tool: wardice.club

Regards

Someone made an unofficial DFC list builder a while back: http://dflist.com/

I hope TTCombat take up your offer. I'm in favour of online tools.

However, I dearly loved the FFoR app that Buhallin made years ago for DZC. It was fantastic. The beauty of that was that you didn't need a live internet connection to use it.

Yes, I agree, FFoR was awesome, and with today's web tools it's relatively easy to build an online+offline tool that works in every browser (mobile too), so that you can share lists and users.

Is DF List still up to date?

For now it is not up to date. It has all the ships from the rulebook and the experimental stats for the destroyers, dreadnoughts and Centurion.

Will be updated in the future but no ETA on that for now.

Its also not utilizing the Adepticon Experimental Errata... hopefully a proper errata comes out soon and it can all be updated in one fell swoop.

Hi,

I was/am the official datafile manager for Dropzone and Dropfleet on Lone Wolf's Army Builder software.

Although I realise that it's generally fallen out-of-favour in the age of free online builder apps, it's another option for those who have the software.

I'm currently in the process of updating the files with BfE stuff and 2E. Will post updates here if people are interested.

The guy behind DFlist now has hisnown copy of BfE. All standard ships will be updated. Not sure if he will tale the adepticon errata into account.

Adding the modular Resistance shios will take some more time though.

Hi there, I've updated my DZC printing utility:
https://drop-commander.web.app/

I'm just testing the waters, trying to decide if I'll invest more time in a full-fledged drop-commander web app or not.
