Re: Small Arms AA
E18 on Berzerkers? How? I came up with E9 max.
Re: Small Arms AA
I see what they were thinking... just try to condense the number of written rules on a stat sheet... but they really needed it better named and better thought out. RW could be just that whilst "Small Arms" could have been a separate term that "counts as RW" and also has the AA-Small Arms effect, and also the elements of CQB they wanted...
but really... why bother? It made the rules less flexible and I don't think that's worth the small "streamlining" they got out of this choice.
Re: Small Arms AA
Berserkers have 15 CQ shots at E4. Dropping 14 of them gives 14 + 4, E18

Re: Small Arms AA
But they have Reduced-3. You van subtract 3 5-times from 15. 4+5 = 9
Re: Small Arms AA
"A Weapon with this special rules may combine it´s fire. It instead makes 1 shot, with every forgone remaining shot (after redicung the Shots due to damage taken) adding 1 to the Energy value auf the weapon."
The bigger number is correct, unless they are damage it is [E+Shot(-Damage*reducedvalue) -1]

Re: Small Arms AA
As Lorn says, the reduced factor is only used if they have lost some HPBlackLegion wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 3:50 amBut they have Reduced-3. You van subtract 3 5-times from 15. 4+5 = 9
Alternatively you could use the Scourge Eviscerators, E18 with better armour and CM. Combine their Quick Glaives for a single E21 CQ shot

Re: Small Arms AA
I mean the more I think of it, the less it is truly a gameplay issue an more if an immersion break. In particular as the E21 CQ shot cannot crit.
Though as far as I read CQ, even outside a building contact or CQ range prevent the use of other weapons, so Berserkers next to a tank (or Prowlers encircling one) prevent it from firing. Which feels odd.

Re: Small Arms AA
The only problem I see is with units like the Praetorians : too powerful AA. It soule have been betterave to add an AA weapon to the unit stats than this mess.Lorn wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 8:57 amI mean the more I think of it, the less it is truly a gameplay issue an more if an immersion break. The high CQ Energy values don't bother me much. It is logical that armour so close to infantry in buildings would be in trouble.
Re: Small Arms AA
E21 trouble? A cap of E10 or even 12 seems reasonable and still very threatening to my tanks.

I don't think units like Praetorians should even have SA. That was one of the trade offs between the regular infantry who were good all rounders and the CQB specialists.
